TroqPay receives Stellar Community Fund support in SCF #44
TroqPay is selected in SCF #44 and receives a $60,000 Build Award to integrate Pix, USDC on Stellar, Privy, and DeFindex.
We are proud to announce that TroqPay has been selected in Stellar Community Fund #44 and received a $60,000 Build Award to advance its integration with the Stellar network.
We are grateful to the Stellar community for the confidence placed in our proposal and to everyone who helped us reach this milestone. The award recognizes an idea that has guided TroqPay from the start: Brazilian businesses should be able to sell locally and operate globally without rebuilding their financial infrastructure.
TroqPay's official submission and the SCF #44 award page confirm that “TroqPay: Sell with Pix. Receive in USD.” was awarded in the Build category.
Validation for what we are building
TroqPay already enables businesses to accept Pix through payment links, hosted checkout, APIs, and POS, track balances, and reconcile their operations in one platform.
The approved project takes that experience further. With support from SCF #44, we plan to connect Pix proceeds to a self-custodial digital-dollar layer using native USDC on Stellar.
Customers will continue paying with Pix. Businesses will be able to choose to settle part of their balance into USDC, receive it in their own wallet, and track the entire flow within TroqPay.
Global infrastructure without complicating the local payment experience.
Turning support into product
The Build Award will fund integrations designed to make this flow simple, controlled, and traceable.
Native USDC on Stellar
Stellar will provide the digital-dollar balance and settlement layer. The goal is to migrate TroqPay's current stablecoin payout path to native USDC on Stellar, with fast transactions, predictable network costs, and on-chain evidence.
Self-custodial wallets with Privy
Privy will embed a Stellar wallet into the TroqPay experience. Businesses keep control of the signing key without having to manage seed phrases or leave the platform to track their balance.
DeFindex as an optional balance layer
Businesses that choose to hold USDC will be able to opt into a non-custodial layer integrated with DeFindex. This module will remain separate from the core payment flow and require explicit customer action and signature.
Together, these integrations bring Pix, USDC, wallets, and reconciliation into a single experience.
How this creates value for TroqPay customers
Our goal is not to add blockchain to the message. It is to use the infrastructure to deliver practical value:
- accept payments through the Pix experience customers already know;
- access native USDC on Stellar without building a parallel operation;
- retain control of a merchant-owned wallet;
- track balances, settlement, and evidence in one place;
- reduce integrations and reconciliation work;
- gain another option for USDC held in the wallet.
TroqPay coordinates the experience, records evidence, and reconciles each stage. On/off-ramp partners perform regulated BRL-to-USDC conversion and applicable KYC and KYB processes.
Building responsibly
The project will be delivered in stages. A standalone MVP will first validate the Privy, USDC, and DeFindex flow. The integration will then move into TroqPay's test environment. The final stage will be a capped mainnet pilot for approved businesses, with monitoring, limits, and operating controls.
This process lets us learn, verify each integration, and move forward without presenting an award as a finished product.
A milestone built together
SCF #44 is public validation of TroqPay's technical direction and the importance of the problem we have chosen to solve.
We thank the Stellar Community Fund, the community members who reviewed our proposal, PaltaLabs, and every partner, customer, and supporter following our journey.
We receive this recognition with gratitude and responsibility. Our work now is to turn support into product, product into customer value, and that value into more Brazilian businesses connected to the global economy.
Sell locally. Get paid globally.
